We've got a normal TV and Movies subforum, yes, but a more specific "Anime/Manga" sub-forum might be useful, if nothing else to quarantine it away from "normal" TV & Movie (/books?) discussion.

this is definitely something i would consider. the issue i'm having with forum suggestions is that i don't want to spread the community too thin and i want to have people get visibility into things adjacent to their interests, so they're encouraged to post more. i also don't want to create forums that don't get any posts, which is my main issue with forums like "deals and sales."

perhaps maybe we trial run an anime thread(s) in the tv/movies forum and if there's enough need, create a forum and move the threads over.
