these things do have a tendency to create a lot of meta-discussion (testing the limits of the robot, finding ways to get around the rules, etc), but I think it would be interesting to see how an r9k forum evolves over time.

I'm not sure how difficult this would be to implement, though.

I wonder whats the rate of duplicated messages on a forum like this (hey mod, run a sql query for us? :P).

On a chat app I can see repeated messages being a problem, but on a long form forum (I mean, the post bar has a 10k char limit) I'm not so sure.

A thing this forum hasn't grown into yet is having its own "memes", like for instance I remember old gaming forums having every thread spammed with the same inner jokes and image macros, and I'm not sure this forum will have that, given how internet culture has changed.

I do like the idea of having robot approved ™️ posts, maybe a badge of some sorts.

But like the blog post says, I can see it going for a few years without becoming a significant thing to be taken into consideration, given how many ways you can combine words to produce the same meaning in a sentence.

feel free to post something in general for this topic, i'm not so sure if there would be enough topics for a whole forum

to the topic tho, i think message duplication is minor-ly annoying but happens. sometimes on other forums, i'll see someone post the same meme or ask the exact same question on literally the same page, but it's tough to expect people to read everything

you should just get made fun of if you do it - i think that's the best course of action
