UFO 50 is a recent (released in mid 2024) indie project consisting of 50 retro-style games. And DAMN these games are pretty good actually. The whole thing costs 25$ so each game costs less than a dollar. And then you realize you just got a 20 hours long JRPG for dirt cheap (along with 49 other games) which is insane.
There weren't many devs so I was concerned that the games will be limited to stuff like arcades and platformers. Well, there's actually a deckbuilder (Party House), a turn-based strategy (Avianos), two JRPGs (Divers and Grimstone), a dungeon crawler (Valbrace) and stuff and stuff. 'Divers' alone took me 7.5 hours to beat so yeah, these devs are insane.
Anyone else playing it? My highlights so far are Bushido Ball (Pong's distant relative with a really fun coop mode), Divers (slow enigmatic games are my second nature), Avianos (this one is beautifully designed), Night Manor (the only Point'n'Click I've finished without any outside help), Seaside Drive (another great coop experience) and Rakshasa (who would've known I will enjoy Ghost'n'Goblins lmao).
