For me personally it is a man in the high castle, I enjoyed the book alot, but I could barely make it to season 2 before I turned it off. It just doesn't feel authetic to me any more. The plot is so outlandishly stupid it just breaks the realism of the book and makes it into shitty hollywood spy drama.

I just cannot care about star wars anymore. I know it's kind of a cop-out answer Star Wars is a cool universe still and I really like the designs, the visuals, the overall feel of it, but when it comes to the media, the content being made of it, most of it is just so painfully mediocre, and, with the possible exception of Andor (which i havent seen but i've heard good things about) and the first, maybe second, seasons of The Mandalorian, fails to make any reason for its existence other than "we have to make more star wars because people love star wars!". The culture war bullshit surrounding the Sequels has made it pretty difficult to talk about with most people, and I still really like parts of the Sequel films, but a lot of that potential was completely wasted in order to appease censorship and corporate oversight.

I still want a lightsaber though.

as mentioned by the past 2 posts, Star Wars and Man in the High Castle were pretty squandered at the later stages of its life, though i do still try to keep up with Star Wars because a small gem would pop every now and then one movie that was really turned rotten from corporate greed was definitely Jurassic Park, or i guess more accurately Jurassic World, the first movie was kinda engaging, the final fight with the indominus rex was cool, but after that, all the stuff that came after was a general snooze fest, not to mention how they keep making the dinosaurs inaccurate, like most people, i have a fixation of prehistory and it's hard to get immersed in the (what little) story when all the dinosaurs are deliberately altered because either it looks cooler or because they can't be bothered to do proper research cat smiley

I really liked the first Jurassic Park, and even liked the second one, even though it was kind of shit. I was invited to watch Jurassic World 2 with a group when it was in cinema, and it was one of the only 3 movies i walked out of in the cinema (the other 2 weren't bad movies, it was just a matter of circumstance. but in this scenario, it was because jurrasic world 2 is shit)

Sometimes just general brain drain gets a series or even books to go to hell. Brevity or at least saying something worthwhile sometimes does make something memorable but the more smut you see in a series the less you remember the good parts. Really the only counter argument I can give for this is when someone maybe makes a world so autisitcally integrate that it takes years to get to the bottom of it. For example Terry Pachette does that and other other spectrum so does Tolkien.
