So, movies that are considered 'bad' by normal standards of blockbuster movies but they at least provide something unique compared to the drivel they release these days. Here is my starting list.

Recommendations (mostly DTV) Llamageddon (2015 - IMDb) - A killer llama from outer space crash lands on Earth and brings death and destruction to everyone in its path. ThanksKilling (2008 - IMDb) - A homicidal turkey axes off college kids during Thanksgiving break. KungFury (2015 - YouTube) - Miami Police Department detective and martial artist Kung Fury time travels from the 1980s to World War II to kill Adolf Hitler, a.k.a. "Kung Führer". VelociPastor (2018 - IMDb) - After losing his parents, a priest travels to China, where he inherits a mysterious ability that allows him to turn into a dinosaur. At first horrified by this new power, a hooker convinces him to use it to fight crime. And ninjas.

On My List (but not watched) Bloodmoon (1997 - IMDb) - Martial arts action film finds a retired detective returning to action to stop a martial arts master with steel fingers who is killing champions from all sports. Here is a clip on YouTube. Karma Kula (2021 - IMDb) - Karma Kula crosses the dry humor of a spaghetti western with kick-ass martial arts. Add stunning locations, ninjas, Mongolian witch-nuns, a spiritual mystical tale, with timeless philosophical ideas of karma and ancient yogic teachings. -- Karma Kula was created by the group that did the animation Ninjai: The Little Ninja (IMDb) back in 2001 as a flash animation series that disappeared online around 2015. They advertised making Karma Kula for a long time but never saw anything about it. There was at one time a few episodes on YouTube but cannot locate it. Here is a teaser for it on YouTube.

Others (released to theatres but not popular) Equilibrium (2002 - IMDb) - In an oppressive future where all forms of feeling are illegal, a man in charge of enforcing the law rises to overthrow the system and state. (While not DTV, it's a little known movie and I think a precursor/inspiration for The Matrix). In Time (2011 - IMDb) - In a future where people stop aging at 25, but are engineered to live only one more year, having the means to buy your way out of the situation is a shot at immortal youth. Here, Will Salas finds himself accused of murder and on the run with a hostage - a connection that becomes an important part of the way against the system. (Again, don't think it was a DTV but it wasn't very well known/popular). Boxing Helena (1993 - IMDb) - A surgeon becomes obsessed with the seductive woman he once was in an affair with. Refusing to accept that she has moved on, he amputates her limbs and holds her captive in his mansion. Sausage Party (2016 - IMDb) - A sausage strives to discover the truth about his existence.

That is it for now, hope to see some other recommendations.
