So scrolling around on different screen sizes I was thinking it would be nice if when you began scrolling the header would collapse to a smaller version of itself and then float at the top the entire time, that way you would always have access to your messages, mentions, and profile link. Though by doing that there may be little need for the 'top' button to scroll you back up.

this one is a wontdo. mostly because i value the reading experience over everything else and i think if you're trying to read a thread of posts, the header would just take up space that could be used to display more of someone's post

this is also a factor. i think that top button solves for this problem
