i'm not one for conspiracy stories but i watched this video today that talks about Tencent, some company in China that helps fund the CCP and is apparently on a mission to get a large stake in a lot of US-based companies, including discord

thought it was funny to watch considering now the US is looking critically at Tiktok.

as someone who is neither chinese or american and dislikes both sides, i understand the concerns regarding CCP but i dont think theres anything wrong with a chinese company doing what lots of american companies already do.

I agree, like all chinese companies are involved with the CCP its just how it be over there but I feel like Discord has so many other issues that focusing on just this chinese connection seems like missing the forest for the trees a bit. Not saying this is good but ya know
