community feedback what are the "total_votes" and "rating" properties in the API?

if you look here in the API docs, you can see threads have total_votes and rating set. but what would this be for in the frontend?

it's an idea that isn't quiiiiiiite fleshed out yet. currently you can "vote" on a thread with a score from 1-5 in the API, however as of right now, any user can vote any number of times. Until that part is finished, it won't make its way into the website.

and tbh, it's pretty low priority. it's an idea i thought would have been neat when i originally wrote the backend, but kinda lost interest in it

Might be a good idea to take these features out if you're not going to implement them.

definitely one of the many items on the to-do list, along with getting rid of the thread icon requirement because it is another unused feature. there's only so many things one person can get done!
