quoting NovaVeles:

Abrowser. It is a de-mozilla version of Firefox for Trisquel GNU/Linux OS. It works for me but I doubt many people would find it as charming.

a true libre enjoyer! nice to see.

On my Linux setup (which is my main) I use Pale Moon, as well as Librewolf, as many websites are broken on PM. On my hackintosh I use Librewolf. On my phone I use Fennec. No trace of Google anywhere. I avoid it like the plague.

I've been using Firefox since I discovered it in 2008. I used Librewolf for a year or so, but it broke too many websites for me so I switched back to the default build.

As far as I know, you can disable some privacy settings in order to make some websites work, but doing so makes Librewolf kind of pointless.

Right now, for home use, I’m enjoying SigmaOS. It’s not perfect, but I love the workspaces. I used Arc for a while, but the icons for the various workspaces were not large enough or bright enough for me to easily see at a glance what they were. So, I ended up paying a bit of money for Sigma OS.

At work, I’m still using mostly Chrome. I’m a backend developer, so I don’t need to test my stuff in a lot of browsers. Inertia keeps me from moving to Firefox, even though I probably should.

If I get it right, SigmaOS is sort of an webbrowser/workspace combined?

Like multiply browser windows combined intro one window?

SigmaOS looks interesting tho

firefox for just about everything, tor for boredom. Occasionally use the PS3 Internet browser once in a while for the sole purpose of saying that I did.

Yeah, i've read those articles before.

I never really understood brave; Is it just a chromium fork with tor and a vpn?

there's also some built in privacy settings like blocking trackers, cookies, etc, but yeah it runs on chromium, so it's basically an better version of chrome

it's nice for work at least since you can install the same extensions as chrome

Yeah, its nice that you can use the same extensions.

Okay, it sounds that it is probably better at privacy than chrome.

But since I already rarely use chrome, I don't think its worth for me to switch all my stuff there shrug smiley

Basically, every browser that supports CSS and JavaScript is irredeemably fucked.

Firefox.

I used to be in love with what Mozilla was about, but I feel like they are not entirely what they used to be. Still, it's better than Chrome, and I'd rather use a browser that is upstream, getting the security patches as quickly as possible, so all the offshoot alternatives are out for me.

Chrome on both my PC and iPhone. So used to it, tried Safari on my iPhone 15 Pro but ended up going with Chrome in the end sinc it syncs all my content from my desktop. <3

I've tried a bunch of browsers over the years but currently using Brave as my everyday browser (for both personal use and work), have been using it consistently for the past two years or so.

I've recently switched to LibreWolf, which is a fork of Firefox but with more default privacy settings. I love it very much :p
